How To Get To/From Houston By Bus

There are five bus companies that provide service to the city of Houston with bus stops in downtown Houston as well as just north of the city. So, let’s look at how to get to/from Houston by bus:

Flixbus

Flixbus, the German-based bus company is the newest entrant into Houston. They have their bus stop in an open lot at the corner of Smith Street and West Gray in downtown Houston.

Greyhound

Greyhound is the largest operator in the city and has an established bus stop downtown to prove it. I must warn you though as its not the best part of town.

Megabus

The Megabus stop is located across from the Metro Transit Center in Downtown Houston on Louisiana Street between Pearce and St. Joseph streets.

Turimex Internacional

This bus company provides service from various cities in Mexico to Houston. There is also service to/from Houston to other U.S. cities. They have several bus stops in the city including downtown Houston across from the main Greyhound Station.

Vonlane

If you want a bit of luxury travel on a bus, then consider Vonlane which has service to Austin, Dallas, Forth Worth, Oklahoma City and San Antonio.

The bus stop is now at the Hyatt Regency Galleria at 2626 Sage Road.
